Attractions

Go Ape Zip Line & Treetop Adventure

Go Ape Zip Line & Treetop Adventure

Have a blast high up in the trees at Go Ape! Treetop Adventure. Adventurous families will thoroughly enjoy braving through five ropes courses that feature a variety of obstacles including Spider Webs, Tarzan Swings, bridges, and more. Guests will find a zip line at the end of each ropes course station, and guests will have fun zipping through the trees and over water. This is an attraction that you cannot miss while visiting North Myrtle Beach!

Picnic Areas

Enjoy the fresh air of the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex and sit down for a nice picnic with your family or friends. There are seven covered picnic areas throughout the complex, so there is more than enough room for multiple families to enjoy a delicious meal outside.  

Playgrounds

Are you here on vacation with your kids? The North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex has three playgrounds where your kiddos can play outside and get some fresh air. These playgrounds feature new equipment with slides, bridges, ladders, and other things that your little ones will love. The playgrounds are located next to picnic shelters, so if your child works up an appetite, they can stop and have a bite to eat before playing some more.

Sandhills Bank Amphitheater

The North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex has it all, including an outdoor amphitheater! The Sandhills Bank Amphitheater is a great venue for concerts, dancing, plays, award ceremonies, performances, weddings, team building activities, weddings, corporate receptions, and much more!

Shark Wake Park

Created by Greg Norman Jr., Shark Wake Park is a top-notch cable wakeboarding park located at the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex. Whether you are a pro at wakeboarding, or if you’ve never tried the sport before, Shark Wake Park welcomes people of all skill levels to enjoy this attraction. Shark Wake Park has a 5-tower full-size cable and 2-tower cable with special features, making it an easy system to learn on. This family-friendly attraction is great for those looking for a fun and unique experience in North Myrtle Beach.

Veterans Memorial

One super nice feature of the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex is the Veterans Memorial that honors those who defended our country. During special days of the year such as Veterans Day, the Veterans Memorial holds special ceremonies.

Waggin’ Tails Dog Park

Whether you’re a local looking for a place to take your pup to play around, or if you’re a vacationer who brought Fido along with you, you’ll be happy to know that this attraction is home to a dog park. The dog park at the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex has two separate areas for small and large dogs. This dog park opens at 6:30 a.m. each day, and closes at sundown unless otherwise noted.

Sports

Football

The North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex offers an adult flag football league as well as youth flag football and youth tackle football league. These league games and practices run from September through October.

Soccer/Lacrosse Complex

There are 8 regulation soccer/lacrosse fields at this park that are used for games and tournaments. There is an adult soccer league that begins in September. There is also a fall youth soccer league here that is open to ages 5-18. There are also fall soccer camps for ages 3-7, and youth lacrosse clinics offered here, too.

Trails

The North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex is also home to walking and bike trails. These trails include the Carolina Bay Trail (.6 mile), the Lake Side Trail (1.1 miles), and the Meadow Trail (.56 mile).

Volleyball

Girls ages 8-14 can sign up for the girls fall volleyball league, which runs from September through October.

Wyndham Vacation Rentals Baseball/Softball Complex

This complex is home to 4 regulation youth baseball/collegiate fields, as well as 2 regulation high school/collegiate baseball fields. Kids can sign up for fall youth softball and baseball through the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex as well.

Events

Summer Concert Series

One of the main events held at the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex is the Summer Concert Series. Once a month from May through September, the Sandhills Bank Amphitheater hosts this fun event, which features different bands playing music appropriate for the entire family.

Tournaments

Throughout the year, the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex hosts a variety of tournaments. Tournaments include sports such as baseball, softball, flag football, ultimate Frisbee, soccer, lacrosse, Quidditch (yes, you read that right), and more.
