2016 Fall Festivals near North Myrtle Beach

Summer is over, but that doesn't mean that everything stops in North Myrtle Beach. In fact, the fall is a wonderful time to visit, as there are plenty of great festivals and events going on in the area. From musical events to food festivals and more, here is a list of the 2016 Fall Festivals near North Myrtle Beach:

September Festivals

La Belle Amie Dog Days Blues & Jazz Fest

Join La Belle Amie Vineyard for their Dog Days Blues & Jazz Fest. This event will feature a vineyard tour as well as wine, wine slushies, food, and live music. Admission for the Dog Days Blues & Jazz Fest is $8 per person (18 and up). If you bring two canned food items or dry food items you can receive $3 off admission.

This event will take place from 12:30-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016.

Shaggin' in September

Love shag dancing? Check out Shaggin' in September which will take place at Plyler Park along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. This event will feature free live music which will begin at 7 p.m. each night. Here is the schedule:

SOS Fall Migration 2016

Shaggers will flock to North Myrtle Beach for the annual SOS Fall Migration from September 16-25, 2016. This yearly event features tons of shag dancing, beach music, parties, live music, block parties, and more. Hot spots for this event include Fat Harold's, Pirate's Cove, Ducks, Ducks II, and the OD Arcade.

Aynor Harvest Hoe-Down Festival

Head on over to Aynor for the 36th annual Harvest Hoe-Down Festival this September. The annual festival features tons of delicious food like chicken bog and funnel cakes, as well as live entertainment, children's activities, dancing, a parade, and tons of cool vendors. This event will take place from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 in Aynor.

2016 St. John's Greek Festival

Check out the annual St. John's Greek Festival from
Thursday, Sept. 29 through Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016. at St. John The Baptist Greek Orthodox in Myrtle Beach. This annual festival is full of family fun including vendors, Greek music, Greek dancing, and, of course, food! The festival opens at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, at it opens at noon on Sunday.

Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art

Join the town of Pawleys Island for the Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art from September 24-October 15, 2016. This multi-day event is a celebration of music and art, and features live performances, art displays, a wine gala, and much more. Events take place at the Reserve Golf Club of Pawleys Island. Here is a schedule of events:

September 24 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. : 4th annual Seaside Palette at the Georgetown Historic District

September 24 – 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. : 7th annual Chalk Walk at the Georgetown Historic District

September 29 – 7 p.m. : 17th annual Pawleys Island Wine Gala

September 30 – 7 p.m. : Shanna Tucker

October 1 – 7 p.m. : Peabo Bryson

October 6 – 7 p.m. : Zuill Bailey

October 7 – 7 p.m. : The Company Men

October 8 – 7 p.m. : Barrett Baber

October 13 – 7 p.m. : Marcus Anderson

Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival

The annual Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival will be held from
12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25. The event will feature tons of unique arts and crafts from over 100 artisans. There will also be live entertainment, arts and crafts, and a selection of food.

Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally

Rev up your engines for the Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally. From September 26 to October 2, 2016, bikers can enjoy several events and rides throughout the Grand Strand. Popular biker hangouts include The Harley Shop at the Beach, Jamin' Leather, Plantation Pancake House, The Beaver Bar, and many other restaurants and bars in the area.

Irish Italian Festival

Enjoy the 14th annual Irish Italian Festival in North Myrtle Beach. This special event will be held
from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, September 24 along Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. The evnent will feature live music, tons of food vendors, craft tents, children's activities, magicians, a spaghetti eating contest, and much more. Admission to this festival is free.

October Festivals

Oktoberfest at The Market Common

Celebrate the fall at Oktoberfest at The Market Common! The 9th annual Oktoberfest will take place from
4-9 p.m. Friday, October 14 and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, October 15 in Valor Park at The Market Common. This event will feature German food, live entertainment, Oktoberfest beers, pumpkin painting, inflatables, tons of vendors, and more. This is a free event that is fun for the whole family!

Brookgreen Gardens Harvest Home Weekend Festival

Join Brookgreen Gardens for the Harvest Home Festival on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 9:30-4:30 p.m. This festival will include family activities such as scarecrow building, wool spinning, pumpkin painting, wagon hay rides, and more. There will also be demonstrations, live entertainment, snacks, and tons more fun things to do.

The festival is free with regular garden admission.

City of Conway Fall Festival

Enjoy the sights and sounds of downtown Conway at the City of Conway Fall Festival. This festival will feature live music from Carolina Midnight, The Entertainers, and Gerry the Great. The event will also have food vendors, kids activities, a car show, arts and crafts, and more.

The City of Conway Fall Festival is free, and will be held from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 in downtown Conway.

Taste of the Town

Foodies, get ready for the 32nd annual Taste of the Town at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. This favorite local event features around 50 restaurants who offer samples of their foods in order to compete for best entree, best dessert, and more. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door, and tasting tickets are also available in order to sample food and beverages.

Taste of the Town will take place from 4-10 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

Myrtle Beach Seafood Festival

The first ever Myrtle Beach Seafood Festival is coming to downtown Myrtle Beach on Saturday, October 15, 2016. From 11 a.m. until 7 p.m., guests the festival can enjoy a wide variety of seafood, as well as a beer and wine garden, and live Beach music. There will also be kid-friendly activites available.

2016 Little River ShrimpFest

Join the Little River Chamber of Commerce for the 12th annual Little River ShrimpFest. The Little River ShrimpFest hosts a shrimp and grits cook-off, as well as tons of tasty seafood and festival food to enjoy. The festival also features arts and crafts, balloon artists, stiltwalkers, and live entertainment. This year, the festival will be introducing a golf cart raffle to benefit Camp Chemo.

The Little River ShrimpFest will occur
from 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, October 8 and from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Sunday, October 9 along the Little River Waterfront. Admission is $5 per person each day, but kids 12 and under are free.

Lip Rippin' Chilympics Chili Cookoff

If you love good ol' chili, then you must check out the Lip Rippin' Chilympics Chili Cookoff. This event features tons of chefs and local restaurants competing to win the title of Chilimaster. Chili sample tickets at $1, and you can bring your own spoon or purchase one for a $1 donation. Guests are also asked to bring in a canned good or non-perishable food item to donate to the South Strand Helping Hand.

The 17th annual Lip Rippin' Chilympics Chili Cookoff will take place
11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 9 on the south end of Murrells Inlet at the Hot Fish Club, King Street Grille and Morse Park.

Loris Bog-Off Festival

The 37th annual Loris Bog-Off Festival will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 on Main Street in downtown Loris. This famed festival features a chicken bog contest as well as kid's activities, 200+ vendors, a car and tractor show, live entertainment, and fireworks.

Georgetown Wooden Boat Show

The Georgetown Wooden Boat Show is back again this year, and it will be held from 11 a.m .to 6 p.m. Saturday, October 15 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 18 along Front Street in historic Georgetown. This event features a wooden boat exhibit, a boat building competition, Kaminski house tours, crafts, and much more. There will also be live music, food, and a beer garden!

Myrtle Beach Wine Fest

Wine enthusiasts, rejoice! The 7th annual Myrtle Beach Wine Fest will be held on from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Valor Park in The Market Common. The event will feature over 50 wines from around the world, along with specialty vendors and live entertainment.

Admission to the Wine Fest is free, but those who are sampling must purchase a wine glass for $5.

Celebrity Square Halloween Party

Celebrate Halloween at Broadway at the Beach! Each year, Broadway at the Beach hosts a Halloween Bash and Costume Party, and this year it will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016. Stay tuned for more Halloween festivities.

November Festivals

South Carolina State Bluegrass Festival

The 47th annual South Carolina State Bluegrass Festival will be held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on November 24, 25, & 26, 2016. This event will feature live music by bluegrass legends such as Big Country Bluegrass, The Grascals, The Little Roy & Lizzy Show, Lonesome River Band, Flatt Lonesome, and many more.

Ticket prices for this musical event are $40 per day for adults and $20 a day for children ages 7-15. There are also ticket packages and reserved seating available. Note: parking is an additional $3.

Carolina Beach Music Awards

The North Myrtle Beach area is known for Shag dancing and Beach Music, so its no wonder that the 22nd Carolina Beach Music Awards will be held at the Alabama Theatre. This awards show recognizes writers, producers, performers, and industry leaders who are important to the Beach Music genre. The Carolina Beach Muisc Awards will take place on November 13, 2016 at 3 p.m. Ticket prices begin at $40.95.

Dickens Christmas Show and Festival

Get in the holiday spirit at the Dickens Christmas Show and Festival! This event features a variety of vendors located inside of a Victorian Holiday Marketlplace at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Some of the cool holiday items you can find here include jewelry, crafts, gifts, toys, holiday decor, gourmet food, and much more. In addition, the Dickens Show also has entertainment such as Victorian musicians, tea leaf readers, Punch & Judy shows, and more.

The Dickens Christmas Show will take place on
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, November 11 and Saturday, November 12, and 12-6 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2016. Tickets are $9.50 for adults, and $4.50 for children (2-12) for a single day pass. Multople day passes can be purchased for $14.
