2017 is here, and there are tons of new things in store for North Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand. From new attractions to new restaurants and more, check out this list of what’s new in North Myrtle Beach for 2017:

The Track Recreation Center

The Track in North Myrtle Beach is finally done, and this family-friendly attraction has tons of fun to offer! Located near Restaurant Row, The Track Recreation Center is home to multi-level go-kart tracks that kids and adults can enjoy. Plus, this new attraction also boasts an arcade with modern and classic games.

Hickory Tavern

North Myrtle Beach is home to so many awesome restaurants, and Hickory Tavern has recently been added to that list. Hickory Tavern is a North Carolina chain that is known as a great hangout for sports fans. Food here includes delicious pub grub such as sandwiches, seafood, burgers, and more.

Changes at Broadway at the Beach

Broadway at the Beach has been making some changes since the beginning of 2016, and more things will continue to change throughout 2017. Currently, the attraction is working on building a location of Dave & Busters where the Hard Rock Pyrmaid used to stand. Dave & Busters is a sports bar and arcade where kids and adults can enjoy delicious food and fun games. Also, the old Carlos’n Charlie’s restaurant has been demolished so that a new Paula Deen restaurant can be built

Captain D's

Though Captain D’s isn’t entirely new to the Grand Strand, the fast-food chain has opened a new location in Surfside Beach. This chain is known for serving fried and grilled seafood at affordable prices.

ALDI

The Grand Strand will soon be home to two ALDI grocery stores; one to be built in North Myrtle Beach, and the other in Myrtle Beach. No official opening dates have been announced yet.

Panera Bread

If you love Panera Bread, then you’re in luck: Myrtle Beach was thrilled to open the first location of Panera Bread at the very end of 2016. Though you’ll have to drive to Myrtle Beach to enjoy soups, sandwiches, salads, and more, it is definitely worth the trip.

RipTydz

Myrtle Beach is gearing up for the opening of a hot new restaurant called RipTydz. This oceanfront grille & rooftop bar is slated to open in downtown Myrtle Beach in February of this year. RipTydz will offer beautiful views as well as a hip rooftop bar where guests can grab drinks and listen to live music.

Pirate Ship Adventures

Have you ever wanted to be a pirate for a day? Now you can! Pirate Ship Adventures in Murrells Inlet is a new attraction where families can hop on a pirate ship and go for a pirate-themed cruise around Murrells Inlet. Dress up in your favorite pirate outfit and get ready for some real swashbuckling activities that the whole family will love.
