About Flying Fish Public Market & Grill
“If it swims, we will catch it.” This is the concept behind the Flying Fish Public Market & Grill, which is part theme restaurant (its decor is reminiscent of the fish markets in New York and Seattle) but it’s first about fresh seafood, sushi, and an unbeatable happy hour.
The open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, and Intracoastal Waterway views have made this a regular stop for vacationers and tourists alike since opening in 2010. A raw bar and fresh sushi satisfy serious seafood lovers, and a huge appetizer list includes: fried pickles, Buffalo shrimp, shrimp salsa served with a pita, calamari, coconut shrimp and seafood nachos.
Choose from soups, salads, burgers, steaks and chicken, but those craving seafood will not want to pass up seafood specialties including: a Lowcountry boil with your choice of clams, snow crab, new potatoes, corn, smoked sausage, shrimp, mussels and oysters. A $6 lunch menu and a happy hour are so popular many arrive early, but the large restaurant can accommodate large groups.
