River Island Adventures is proud to be the only adventure outfitter that has an outpost on the Waccamaw River. Through River Island, you can go through all kinds of tour adventures. Choose from kayak and paddleboard rentals, a guided kayak tour, tubing, and a pontoon tour. Additionally, you can also purchase an “All Adventure Pass” which allows you to spend the entire day doing all adventures! The All Adventure pass includes tubing, kayaking or paddle boarding, taking a pontoon ride as well as competing in their Escape River Island Challenge.

Another adventure offered at River Island Adventure includes the Escape River Island Challenge. For this challenge, you and a partner will work in a group of two to complete a variety of challenges to try and escape the island. This escape adventure is a mix of Survivor and an Escape room.

River Island is not only full of adventure but has its own secluded island. This 48-acre private island is in the middle of the Waccamaw River and features an entire acre full of fun yard games. The island has up to seven giant-sized yard games as well as plenty of space to enjoy a nice picnic and explore the island.

Guests can also choose to book a variety of camping as well as “glamping” trips. Glamping is a glamorous, more luxurious way to enjoy camping. During these camping trips, you can enjoy the island overnight for as many days as you like, at a certain daily fee.
